lizzledpink I intend to update this regularly. Whenever I find another thing that is legitimately true about Torchwood and will never not be true, even if I say something to contradict it, it'll end up here. These are facts.
(This also serves as a rec list, by the way.)
1) Jack's coat is alive, and quite probably sentient, and feeds on radiation. This is why it survives everything. No, really.
2) There is a room, somewhere within the dank corridors of the Hub, that has a sofa, some chairs, a bed and a lamp. Nobody speaks there, and nobody talks about it. Nothing that happens there is ever spoken of. Torchwood needs it, and uses it well.
3) Jack and Tish are besties.
4) If you're reading this, feel free to suggest other fics/truths. I can only think of these two at the moment, but I'm sure I'll stumble and re-stumble upon more of them with time.

Date: 2010-10-16 04:19 am (UTC)I found Gwen annoying too until I wrote a scene from her POV and realized that she was afraid of Jack. (Which probably makes her the sanest person at Torchwood, yes.) Suddenly a lot of her behavior made more sense, making her so much easier to live with. To comprehend all is to forgive all, or something of that sort. Ironically, I'd decided to write the scene from her POV because I'd just been majorly annoyed by a Gwen-basher, so my new-found liking of her was all the basher's fault.

Um... okay here's one) There are ghosts in the archives. Or something like it, probably from one of the artefacts. Nobody talks of them because they've just been sort of mutely accepted. They never say anything, they just walk like recordings playing out in hologrpahic 3D.

3) Kinda/sorta yeah, sorry (Though coinscidentally, I DID get that one from a fic... somewhere. I remember reading it before I got into Torchwood and didn't really understand it. I pinkie swear, I have to source teaspoon and find it again).

So it's not a concern. /smiles sweetly/ Also, I think it would be the BEST THING EVER if Jack will/had left the RAF coat behind and picked up some other coat, marking a change from Ianto's Jack... But anyway...

3) Teaspoon? Hmm. See if I don't come across it sometime.

Date: 2010-10-15 11:44 pm (UTC)1) SORRY! And I think I like your world. As against changing canon as I am I'm quite happy to hop off to an AU where Jack and Ianto get, if not a happy, then at least a BETTER ending than what they got. God. I miss those guys.

3) I do believe it was teaspoon... arugh, It's gonna drive me MAD now until I find it again... maybe I should take a trip to twficfinders... :/
