Chapter two of A Most Succulent Apple, entitled "Nightbreak," is posted on FFN. Go see, and when you're done reading, feel free to look back here and see what I have to say behind the link below! (P.S. Sorry I'm late on this; II'll give a short preview of chapter three to make up for it.)

Admittedly, there's some filler in this chapter, but I think that it's pretty darn important filler, you know? We meet Andrea, who is one of my favorite characters, actually. She's so funny. She's also part of the love triangle that is in the background of this story, but I'm not focusing on that at all. If you're wondering, though, it goes like this:

Andrea loves Daniel, unrequited. Daniel (or Danielle), who is gay, loves Damien. Damien loves Andrea, unrequited. Quite a little mess. But I won't be writing too much about it - it's really only there to support the character's personalities, and certain actions taken by them that may seem odd without such circumstances.

I hope everybody enjoyed shirtless Eriol. I know I did. I envy Andrea the view, truly I do.

Eriol continues to interest me. He still retains his humanity, but is struggling; can you tell? It's little walks like that one that are, for him, completely necessary. Without them... He forgets. He forgets what life was - is - like. He forgets that people care; he forgets that he cares about people. Those walks always remind him that humans aren't just his prey, but they live, and he was one of them. In many ways, he still is one of them. That's why he goes for those little walks. To remind himself that he can resist his hunger, and live.

Now, another little question. How the heck did Tomoyo know? I suppose you could say that she saw his fangs, and spent a day thinking about it. Maybe you'd be right, too - but still, even for a girl as clever as she is, wouldn't it be strange? For her to know all of this so, so, so instantly? Well, I think so. And that's what counts. But still, how did she know?

Well, that's for me to know, and you to find out a while later. You won't be bored by the answer. I know I wasn't.

In chapter three, prepare for a nice little mess as the talk with Tomoyo continues... And as Eriol makes an itty bitty mistake.

By itty bitty, I mean devastating.

P.S. Meiling-chan, do you like my mood theme?
