DW/TW: Micro-fic Meme
You know, I'm not actually sure where I got the template for this from. I copied it down weeks ago but didn't write it. Then I found the document again, and decided to go ahead and write it. Hooray!
Here's the challenge: Try to write different categories of fic (angst, fluff, UST, etc) in 10 words.
And here are my answers to that challenge. I did the same categories for both, and admittedly there's bit of crossover between them, being in the same universe and all... It was difficult, and fun!

Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Some dark themes. Minor spoilers for DW S5, TW:CoE, and more. (If you haven't seen it, you probably just won't understand the micro-fic, though.)
Angst
The Doctor hated him for choosing death.
...No, he didn't.
AU
The ginger laughed and piloted; Ianto smiled. The TARDIS landed.
Crack!fic
"Rory, why waste your time guarding a box?"
"...Good point."
Crossover
Hermione and Harry fled from the Reapers, following the blonde.
Death
The last Time Lord stopped breathing.
Jack, now alone, cried.

"You blinked, didn't you?"

It was all wrong.
One heartbeat, warm body, human. Wrong.

Wow. I mean, wow. Because that - writing a fic in ten words? That's insane. And awesome. I read the top bit and was like... hm... do I really wanna read such short fic. Then I was like, oh well, won't take long.
Then I read it. And. Wow.
I smiled. I laughed. I felt.
And you did it in *ten words*!
Loved the Torchwood ones the best. There's just something so simple, so elegant, so ... deep, about these. Like haiku's in prose.
(I admit I also read your rant - it was right there when I jumped on your journal to find earlier mentioned fic - but I really wasn't planning on leaving such a detailed review. I was planning on leaving one - because I totally, totally have had that rant in my own mind at times when I'm all :( - but was thinking something simple.
Then I read this, and I'm glad I did, because this review isn't because of the rant. It's because I really, totally, loved these - the Torchwood ones, anyway. I enjoyed the Doctor Who ones, but it was the Torchwood ones that did it for me).

/grins/ This is exactly my reaction the first time I read one of these ten-words things. "Hey, it's a short read, so why not try it?" Haikus in prose, I like that description.
:D Thanks for reading the rant too. And I kind of agree; I like my TW ones better. Not sure why that is. (Though DW cross-over makes me laugh. Harry and Hermione messed up in book 3 and have brought down the Reapers! Oh, no! /evil cackle/)
